Love is the Reason for the Season! Rejoice! Rejoice! Joy to the World! We are bombarded with messages in the days and weeks before Christmas to be happy, peaceful, and joyous. I would venture to say, however, that few of us in the days leading to Christmas will truly experience within our hearts and souls the peace of the holiday. We fight heavy traffic to shop at the mall and spend countless moments looking for a parking place just to be able to grab the last shirt in the right color and the right size. Then we maneuver the traffic snarls, dodging careless drivers, to arrive home where we throw together a quick dinner or heat something in the microwave. Afterward, we wrap presents, write holiday cards, bake several dozen cookies, and fall into bed exhausted at a very late hour, only to get up the next morning and do it all over again. Finally, we make it to Christmas Eve. The baking is done, the presents wrapped, the cards sent. If it didn’t get done, it’s too late now. Now, finally, we can take a deep breath, sit back, and put up our feet. Forget about the dinner you’re making for the family, forget about the pies yet to be baked. All those things are just extras. No matter how those extras may add to all the festivities, they have absolutely nothing to do with the reason we celebrate Christmas. There is a very popular saying this time of year: Jesus is the reason for the season. I disagree with that. I believe that Love is the reason for the season. Love was the reason that a devout Essene couple, believing fervently in the coming of a long overdue Messiah, sent their only child, a daughter, to be raised and educated at Mount Carmel. They sent her there at a very early age in hopes that God would choose her as the holy vessel, the mother to bear this Messiah to the world. Love was the reason this young girl named Mary studied, prayed, meditated, and devoted her every moment to the divine will of the Father. Her love for the Father and her surrender to his Divine Will was one of the reasons she was selected as the chosen one that morning as she led the procession to the altar. Others saw the angel of God stand beside her, a shining mist of Light, designating her as the one to carry beneath her heart the Messiah to come, the Light of the world. Love of the Father and willingness to do his divine will was also the reason behind the marriage of young Mary to Joseph, a slightly older man and widower. He longed with all his heart to be a part of this long awaited entrance into the world of the new Master, a Christed being to show the way to all. Love led the couple to Bethlehem, to the place prepared by the Essene community for the birth. It was a quiet place, a private place, for although the child to come was to be known as the King of the World, this quiet and unpretentious place would be an outward showing that he was to be in the world, but not of the world. Above all, love was the reason that this Master, this beautiful bright and shining Light from God, elected to once again walk the earth sharing his great love for all and the love of the Father for all his children. The one known as Jeshua ben Joseph came to this planet as an ordinary human birthed in the normal human fashion by a human mother who labored to bring him forth as all mothers labor to birth their children. He was placed into the eagerly waiting hands of his father, Joseph who, like any father, probably worried about providing everything this child would need in terms of love, spiritual guidance, and material goods. He was probably more than a little nervous at the awesome responsibility he held for the new life sheltered within his strong protective arms. Yet, in his love for God, the Father, he never doubted that all would be provided for the family and for the Light of the World that now dwelt among them. The Light and Love of God, the Father, came into physical manifestation that night more than 2,000 years ago and lived among those on the earth for more than thirty years studying and learning from all the Masters on the earth at that time. When the time for his teaching and ministry came, the full magnificent power of the Christ energy overshadowed him and filled him with the brilliant light of Spirit and the Father. All with whom he connected felt the power, saw the Light, and all were forever changed by the love of this seemingly simple carpenter. This man, Jeshua ben Joseph, spoke the truths of the Universe in simple words and simple stories so they would be received and understood by all. This beautiful soul carried the Christ energy to the planet to share with the entire world. For nearly 2,000 years, the Christian world has awaited the Second Coming promised by Him. They have searched the skies for his coming. They have written great treatises on how it would occur, where he might appear, and how this Second Coming of the Christ spirit to the planet would affect tremendous change in the planet and all who dwell here. In this holiday season, in the midst of the hustle and the bustle of traffic, shopping, social commitments, and family activities, do not lose sight or hope of the coming of the Christ energy again to the planet, for it has arrived. Yes, the Second Coming is now upon us as we enter into the most joyous of seasons. Where can we see Him? How can we find Him? That is the easiest of all, for you see the Christ energy and the love that God sent to us in each and every man, woman, and child with whom you speak; everyone that you smile at carries within the Christ energy. Yes, indeed, Christ has returned to earth, but this time it is not just one human individual who has been chosen to carry the energy of Light, it is all humans on the planet. We are each of us an aspect of the Christ energy once again made manifest upon the earth plane. As we each begin daily to consciously bring together the physical aspect of our lives with the spiritual and Christed aspect of our souls, our inner beings, we form a perfectly balanced blending of the physical and the spiritual, the feminine and masculine aspects of ourselves. This perfectly balanced Christ energy, the yin and yang, anchor deeply within the planet and assist in triggering the transformation of the planet from the plane of materialism into the planet of spirituality. Love is the reason this will happen, the love of Father/Mother God for us and the love that we, as Lightworkers, bear for our fellow humans. Love is what brought Jeshua ben Joseph and all the other ascended Masters to this planet, to show us the way to overcome the karma and density of this dimension. Love is what will lead us home again to Spirit when we have accomplished all that we have come to earth to do. Love, indeed, is the reason for the season, this season of sharing and caring, this season of remembering our beloved Master and the reason he chose to walk the earth. It is the same reason that we have all chosen to be here at this time in the history of earth. Jeshua ben Joseph said it the best and he said it for all of us: “And the greatest of these is Love!” May you all have a blessed holiday season and a New Year filled with peace, prosperity, happiness, and love!
